We believe female entrepreneurship is underrepresented in today’s global economy. We believe women today are smart multi-taskers - highly passionate, driven, educated - and want to get the most out of life.
For a significant number of women, entrepreneurship provides the means towards this. Starting a business is an opportunity to turn a bright idea into meaningful reality; to build a career that provides financial freedom; to work flexibly: or simply, to embark on a new career after taking a hiatus.
The reality, however, is that women face a host of challenges as entrepreneurs. These include a lack of confidence, strong business networks and social support, prevailing gender biases, feeling the need to live up to society’s expectations of women, and juggling the demands of full-time work and family commitments.
CRIB aims to empower women by providing the support they need to achieve their entrepreneurship dreams. This will benefit women as they achieve personal fulfilment; their families, as women gain financial empowerment and work-life balance; and society as a whole, as we create businesses with a social impact, raise diversity in the workplace, and contribute to positive economic impact.
