Gowell Logistics SVS Pte Ltd is a logistics and freight forwarding company based in Singapore. It was founded in Year 2008, from a 3-people setup, Gowell Logistics has since grown in terms of company size, transport fleet, number of warehouses and presence in Guangdong, China. It provides sea freight & airfreight forwarding, transportation, warehousing & distribution and customized logistics solutions. We aim to provide cost-effective design and management of product transportation, storage, distribution and integrated logistics services from pre-production to end users at the right time and right cost.
Introduce yourself
I am a working mother raising 2 boys at the same time, age 4 & 7 years old. 2 years back, I decided to join my husband at Gowell Logistics, leaving my long-time career as a Personal Assistant in the Banking industry. Since then, there’s no looking back, I have been roped into every aspect of the business from Operations, Human Resources, Finance to now Business Development as we seek to further expand our footprint across Asia. It has been an extremely steep learning curve where I am constantly challenged beyond my comfort zone and continuously pushing my own limits. As I continue to craft in this male dominated industry, I find it an increasing need to find my own community where women can come together to learn, share experiences and uplift one another to achieve our goals together.
What inspired your business idea?
We always hear how challenging and complex to manage logistics processes, we are committed to making the experience an easy and effortless one for all our clients. In short, just leave your cargo with us and we will manage the rest for you.
What makes your business unique?
We are a service provider with no physical product so delivering extraordinary service & experience to our customers is extremely important. We believe strongly in Continuous Learning and this is what that set us different. All our employees must go through constant and continuous learning in different settings that we have arranged (classroom, observation, mentoring & sharing experiences) to improve oneself, in this way we can then deliver the best service to our clients in this ever-changing business landscape.
