Morocco is best known for its colourful cities but we found a certain joy in discovering heritage black and white photographs of the country. It instantly transported us to a time not so long ago and we wanted to capture that spirit in this series.

Layla (the Arabic word for night) conjures an image of an inky black sky filled with stars and memories of an era. Marrakech has long been a muse to photographers and the monochrome colour palette captures the soul of this spiritual city.
